COMMON CONCERNS:
ROSACEA
Rosacea is a chronic facial condition causing redness, visible blood vessels, flushing, and sometimes bumps. Our clinic provides a personalised, multimodal approach to reduce inflammation, calm redness, repair the skin barrier, and improve texture.
TREATMENTS TO TARGET THIS CONCERN
Treatment options are always personalised but may include:
-
Before any treatment plan is initiated, we offer analysis with our cutting edge skin analyser. Specifically for rosacea, this has the capability of visualising any vascular changes and redness in the face and allows us to monitor improvement over overtime.
-
Gentle, non-irritating medical grade skincare like cleansers, barrier-repair moisturisers (niacinamide, ceramides), and broad-spectrum sunscreen are foundational. Prescription topicals such as metronidazole, azelaic acid, or ivermectin are commonly incorporated for inflammatory lesion control.
-
DPL targets vascular redness and telangiectasias by delivering broad-spectrum light absorbed by haemoglobin, causing gradual vessel reduction and more even skin tone. Multiple sessions spaced 3-5 weeks apart are recommended.
-
Red and near-infrared LED reduces inflammation, soothes reactive skin, and accelerates healing. Safe for sensitive skin and an excellent adjunct before or after other treatments and also as a standalone option.
-
Microneedling creates controlled microchannels to stimulate repair and improve texture. When combined with topical exosomes, it can enhance regenerative signalling, reduce inflammation, and support barrier restoration. Ideal for improving skin quality in rosacea-prone skin and reducing inflammation.
-
Polynucleotide injections promote tissue regeneration, dermal remodelling, and vascular stabilisation, which may reduce persistent redness and improve skin resilience. PN can be used alone or alongside microneedling and other therapies for synergistic benefits.
-
In several published studies botulinum toxin injections can reduce severe flushing.
