HOW DOES IT WORK?

The treatment works by delivering carefully controlled pulses of light through a cooled sapphire crystal onto the skin. The light is absorbed by the hair follicle, destroying its ability to regrow. Each pulse can target multiple follicles at once, making the process quick and efficient. DPL is a more advanced form of IPL (Intense Pulse Light) It uses a narrower, more precise wavelength range compared with traditional IPL. This results in more efficient hair reduction, more comfortable treatment, and safer on a wider range of skin types.

For the best results, treatments are carried out on UNTANNED skin every 3-4 weeks, with most clients achieving up to 85% permanent hair reduction after a course. The result: beautifully smooth, low-maintenance skin.

  • DPL (Dynamic Pulse Light) is an advanced form of light-based hair removal technology that targets the hair follicle with precise pulses of light. It’s designed to safely and effectively reduce unwanted hair growth for long-lasting smoothness across the face and body.

  • Unlike standard IPL, DPL uses narrowband filtered light that operates within a more specific wavelength range. This means it delivers energy more accurately to the pigment in the hair follicle — resulting in faster, safer, and more comfortable treatments with improved results and reduced irritation.

  • DPL Hair Removal can be used almost anywhere on the body, including:

  • Most clients describe the sensation as a warm flick or light elastic snap against the skin, which is very tolerable. The DPL system includes advanced cooling technology to maintain comfort and protect the surrounding skin throughout the treatment.

  • Yes. When performed by trained professionals, DPL is a clinically proven and FDA-approved technology. At Morris Aesthetics, all laser and light treatments are performed by qualified practitioners under the supervision of Dr Lizzie, following strict safety and hygiene protocols.

  • A course of 6–8 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart is typically recommended. Hair grows in cycles, so multiple sessions are required to treat all follicles effectively during their active (growth) phase.

  • You’ll start to notice a reduction in regrowth after the first few sessions. The hair will appear finer and slower to return. Full results develop gradually across your treatment course, with long-term reduction achieved after consistent treatments.

  • There’s no downtime. Mild redness may occur immediately after treatment but usually subsides within a few hours. You can return to normal activities straight away.

  • Treatments should be avoided on recently tanned skin, as active pigmentation can affect results and increase sensitivity. Your practitioner will advise when it’s safe to resume treatment if you’ve had sun exposure or used fake tan.

  • Avoid hot baths, saunas, and sun exposure for 48 hours after treatment. Always use a broad-spectrum SPF on treated areas, and avoid exfoliating until any redness has subsided. Your practitioner will provide full aftercare instructions to protect your skin and enhance results.
